Introduction to the Six Types of Chinese Tea

Before understanding individual teas, it is helpful to first see the whole.
This class introduces the six types of Chinese tea—not as isolated categories, but as expressions of a single leaf shaped by different processes. Through this lens, tea becomes something more than a beverage. It becomes a study of transformation.
You will begin to recognize how small changes in processing give rise to distinct characteristics, and how each tea reflects a different relationship with time, temperature, and attention.

This is not about memorization. It is about learning to see.
